Alpaca Communications response to consultation on streamlining infrastructure planning

Alpaca Communications welcomed the recent opportunity to contribute to the Government’s consultation on streamlining infrastructure planning for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects.

Drawing on our experience as a communications and stakeholder engagement consultancy, we support a balanced, hybrid approach to guidance on pre-application consultation and engagement. In our view, effective reform should maintain the existing statutory ‘milestone’ structure that has hitherto provided clarity and consistency for consultation on large infrastructure projects.
